From the field

A free camping area on the shore of Moosehead Lake in central Maine, 20 miles north of Greenville. This is a lakeside grassy area with five sites, picnic tables, assorted fire rings, and an outhouse. It is a nice spot for vehicle or tent camping at the end of a long stretch of gravel road. A bit of a well known secret, and there will likely be other campers there. Sites are close together. Little privacy. Great for relaxing by the lake. Recommended.
