The other thing Dave builds

TinyCorp

American Adventurer is one of two things I work on. The other is TinyCorp — a small AI studio, and a free sandbox where you build trading bots and let an AI try to beat them. Here's the honest version of what it is, in plain English.

TinyCorp Signal — build a bot, backtest it, free

The main thing at tinycorp.ai is TinyCorp Signal. Its own line for it is "Build an options bot. Backtest it on real data. Free." You pick a stock, pick calls or puts, set a strike and how many days until expiry, then stack on the conditions that tell the bot when to buy — there are 40-plus prebuilt signals to choose from. Change a threshold and the profit and loss recomputes in front of you against real historical data.

There's a second family of bots for prediction markets, built on live data from Kalshi and Polymarket — the sites where people trade on whether a thing will actually happen.

How the marketplace works

  1. Open one of the house bots and look at how it's built — the rules are all visible.
  2. Fork it. That makes your own copy, and you can tweak any rule in it.
  3. Run your first AI improvement free. Grok — xAI's model — rewrites the strategy, then backtests the new version head-to-head against the old one.
  4. Genuine winners get auto-promoted, and the leaderboard ranks bots by risk-adjusted return. The rewriting happens in public, so you can see what the AI changed and whether it actually helped.
  5. After the free one, further AI runs come out of credits you buy, and strategies on the marketplace run $5 to $25.

What it isn't

Paper trading only — no real money, ever. Backtests are hypothetical replays against real historical data, which is not the same as a promise about tomorrow. Nothing on the site is investment advice, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. It's a place to learn how a strategy behaves before it costs you anything.

Where this site fits in

TinyCorp Studio

The studio side runs on one line: "Built by AI. Directed by a human." The building — the data pipelines, the maps, the code, the writing — is done by AI. A human picks what's worth doing, checks whether it's true, and takes the blame for every published word. American Adventurer is one of its projects; TinyCorp Signal is the other. That's why there's a small "Built by TinyCorp AI" credit at the bottom of every page here.
