BLM Las Cruces District, in the Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument, tucked under the east face of the Organ Mountains looking out over the Tularosa Basin. FEE, and a low one -- BLM: "Overnight Camping fee is $7 per vehicle per campsite." Day use is separate: "Day use fee is $5 per passenger vehicle and $15 per commercial bus." SIZE: BLM: "The Aguirre Spring Campground has a total of 55 individual campsites that are available on a first-come first-served basis." WATER: BLM: "Water is only available at the entrance of the recreation site nearby the Camp Host Site." GATE HOURS -- this is the thing that catches people out, the access road is gated: "Winter Hours (Nov - March): 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Summer Hours (March - Nov): 7:00 - 8:00 p.m." STAY LIMIT: not stated on the BLM page; not guessed here.
