Confidence
Likely — The record is good enough to put a pin on, but thin in places. Treat the details as a starting point, not gospel.
How it was placed
Lake Mead National Recreation Area, NPS-operated developed campground on the Overton Arm. FEE: this is an NPS-operated campground and IS a fee campground, but nps.gov did not publish the nightly rate on any page reachable this fire -- the fees page defers to the campgrounds page, which renders client-side and returned no rate. The two Lake Mead campgrounds that DO publish a rate (Boulder Beach, Callville Bay) both show $20/night for NPS-operated sites, so $20 is the likely figure, but IT IS NOT VERIFIED FOR THIS SITE. A reviewer must confirm the rate before this ships. STAY LIMIT: Lake Mead superintendent's compendium page (nps.gov/lake/learn/management/superintendent-s-compendium.htm, read 2026-08-17): "Camping is limited to 30 days in any campground" within a consecutive 12-month period, and total stay in the recreation area is capped at "90 days within a consecutive 12-month period". ENTRANCE FEE: nps.gov/lake/planyourvisit/fees.htm gives $25.00 per private vehicle valid 1-7 days -- that is on TOP of the camping fee. NPS place page gives the address as 600 Echo Bay Rd, Overton, NV and lists tent campsites, restrooms with flush toilets, water access, a boat ramp and picnic facilities. NEAREST TOWN: Overton, NV (NPS's own stated address). Coordinate is the NPS Public POIs pin. SOURCE: https://www.nps.gov/places/echo-bay.htm | auto:agency-trust 2026-08-18: state agency GIS record with a source URL and coordinates, confidence not low. Fee value is the agency's own, not field-checked. Not field-verified -- confirm access, road conditions and fire rules before you go.

What we don’t know about Echo Bay Campground
A land record can put you within a few meters of a spot. It cannot tell you any of this — so check it yourself, and treat anything below as the open question it is.
- Road surface & last-mile access
- How many rigs actually fit
- Cell coverage by carrier
- Seasonal & winter access
- Current fire restrictions
- Whether any water here is drinkable
- Shade & wind exposure
- Noise and who else shows up
- Whether a listed EV charger works today, or the road miles to it
