Primitive campsite with fire ring next to beautiful rock formations in Alabama Hills, near Lone Pine, California. This is a popular area for vehicle-supported camping. Located within vast network of dirt roads well-suited for exploration, some require high-clearance. Arid, desert landscape, and potentially hot. Snow-capped mountains to the west. Photogenic and peaceful. Very popular attraction, but tons of free, dispersed camping opportunities. Highly recommended. Some cell service.
