Ask about this camp →Bureau of Land Management lists this site. On most of their ground you can camp away from developed sites pretty much anywhere — so treat this as a known-good spot, not the only one allowed. The unit sets stay limits and how far off road and water you must be. What changes is conditions — roads, gates, closures, fire rules. Check those with the unit before you commit to the drive.

Confidence
Likely — The record is good enough to put a pin on, but thin in places. Treat the details as a starting point, not gospel.
How it was placed
FREE BLM river campground and float put-in/take-out on the New Fork River. FEE, BLM's own Fees section: "No Fee." (BLM's GIS fee attribute is blank for this record -- the live page is where the No Fee statement is, and it was read 2026-08-17.) SITES: "There are 2 camping sites, a vault toilet, 2 picnic tables and a boat launch." TWO SITES ONLY -- this fills, have a fallback. Elevation 6,800 ft. ACCESS: "23 miles south of Pinedale on US 191, then 12 miles west on WY Highway 351." BLM's standard stay limit on Wyoming public land is 14 days; where BLM states it on the site's own page it is quoted below. BLM does not print a stay limit on this page. NOTE FOR THE REVIEWER: we already carry "New Fork River-Remmick PAA Campground" (a Wyoming Game & Fish public access area) about 5.2 km away. Different manager, different site. Coordinate is BLM's own published facility point from gis.blm.gov/arcgis/rest/services/recreation/BLM_Natl_Recreation_Sites_Facilities (read 2026-08-17), cross-checked against the Geographic Coordinates printed on the site's own blm.gov page. It is a facility pin, not a surveyed campsite. SOURCE: https://www.blm.gov/visit/search-details/14721/1
--- NIGHT-SHIFT REVIEW 2026-08-19 (nightshift-verified) -- APPROVED.
Re-fetched https://www.blm.gov/visit/search-details/14721/1 this fire. The page is live and still titled "New Fork Campground | Wyoming". The Fees section still reads "No Fee." and the description still says "There are 2 camping sites, a vault toilet, 2 picnic tables and a boat launch." BLM's printed Geographic Coordinates are still 42.606431, -109.855587, matching this row to the digit. Cross-checked the same day against gis.blm.gov/arcgis/rest/services/recreation/BLM_Natl_Recreation_Sites_Facilities (layer 8, BLM Natl RIDB Facilities Camping). BLM's GIS fee attribute for this facility is still blank, exactly as this row recorded -- the "No Fee." lives on the live page, re-read today. TWO SITES ONLY: still true, still worth a fallback plan. Nothing this row claims has changed since it was written.

Field check
On the agency's books. The land manager inventoried this site, so its existence is not in question — current conditions are. Nobody from here has camped it recently.
What we don’t know about New Fork Campground
A land record can put you within a few meters of a spot. It cannot tell you any of this — so check it yourself, and treat anything below as the open question it is.
- Road surface & last-mile access
- How many rigs actually fit
- Cell coverage by carrier
- Seasonal & winter access
- Current fire restrictions
- Whether any water here is drinkable
- Shade & wind exposure
- Noise and who else shows up
- Whether a listed EV charger works today, or the road miles to it
