- Surface water mapped nearby: USGS maps Boulder Lake as a perennial lake or pond, under 0.1 mi from the pin (National Hydrography Dataset, data refreshed October 2022). Mapped as perennial is not the same as flowing today. Nobody has checked it for you. Filter or boil anything you drink.

FREE BLM campground on the northwest end of Boulder Lake, below the Wind River Range. FEE, BLM's own Fees section: "No Fee." STAY LIMIT: BLM's own field, "14 Days". SITES: "The campground has five sites with one double vault toilet, five fire rings, and five picnic tables." ACCESS: "approximately 11 miles south of Pinedale on US 191, then 7 miles north on Burnt Lake Road." NOTE FOR THE REVIEWER: we already carry a "Boulder Lake Recreation Area" row and a "Burnt Lake Cg" row ~4 km away; this is the specific BLM campground on the north end of the lake. Coordinate is BLM's own published facility point from gis.blm.gov/arcgis/rest/services/recreation/BLM_Natl_Recreation_Sites_Facilities (read 2026-08-17), cross-checked against the Geographic Coordinates printed on the site's own blm.gov page.
