The land manager lists this site. Someone from the agency inventoried it, so it is a real camp — not a spot we guessed at. What changes is conditions — roads, gates, closures, fire rules. Check those with the unit before you commit to the drive.

FREE rustic camping at Pioneer Park in Ogema, Price County, north-central Wisconsin -- please DROP A DONATION in the box at the kiosk as you enter (the park runs on it). Wisconsin's own state tourism site lists it as 'no fee required, no reservations, first come first served,' with room for about seven units (tents, trailers, RVs). It sits at the Highway 13 / Highway 86 junction on the edge of town, right on the 26-mile Pine Line Rail Trail, and has flush toilets, a shelter/pavilion, fire rings, and a playground; it's equestrian-friendly with a horse hitching post. This is the honest camp-free (pay the donation), shop-and-eat-local deal that pulls travelers off Hwy 13 into town. Please confirm the current rules (any night limit, hookups) with the park (715-767-5586) before you rely on it, leave a donation, and leave the site better than you found it.
