Designated primitive camping area on Sherburne WMA, Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. LDWF's own page for this WMA (https://www.wlf.louisiana.gov/page/sherburne, read 2026-08-15) states under its Camping heading: "There are two designated primitive camping areas." Sherburne WMA is 43,637 acres in Pointe Coupee, St. Martin and Iberville parishes and is owned/managed jointly by LDWF, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service -- which of the three owns the ground under this specific point is NOT established here. Access is via Highway 975 between US 190 and I-10 at Whiskey Bay.
