How it was placed
https://www.blm.gov/visit/west-fork-campground (read 2026-08-17). THIS IS A FEE SITE -- FEE: $12 per night, paid at an iron ranger box or by Scan & Pay in the Recreation.gov app -- NO cell reception at the site, so download the app first. STAY LIMIT: 10 days (stated on the page). Two loops: 7 pull-through and 18 back-in sites, four accessible vault toilets, picnic tables and fire rings throughout, one fully accessible site with an elevated tent pad. Camp host on site typically until mid-to-late August. BLM notes the campground is usually FULL in mid-September. River access a quarter mile north is the southernmost put-in on the 400-mile Fortymile National Wild and Scenic River System, but the reach is usually too shallow to paddle except at high water. Nearest town/services per the page: Tok, via the Taylor Highway. | auto:agency-trust 2026-08-18: state agency GIS record with a source URL and coordinates, confidence not low. Fee value is the agency's own, not field-checked. Not field-verified -- confirm access, road conditions and fire rules before you go.
