DNR DESCRIPTION (from the agency's own recreation-search record): Situated on the shore of Little Lake, this rustic campground offers great opportunities for paddle sports and fishing. Located in Marquette County, 5 miles east of Gwinn. This campground is managed by Escanaba Field Office. DNR LONGER DESCRIPTION: This rustic campground is situated on the east side of Little Lake and is shaded by upland hardwoods and lowland conifers. There is a small beach area centrally located in the campground. Little Lake offers opportunities for fishing and paddling. There are 16 sites for tent, small trailer and large trailer use. Campsites 6, 8, and 12 are pull through sites suitable for large trailers. Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay. Amenities include vault toilets and potable water from a hand-pump well. This is a “carry-in, carry-out” unit. Trash barrels are not provided. Please help keep the campground clean and take camping refuse to dumpsters located at the Gwinn Field Office.
