No dollar amount in the agency record -- expect a charge and confirm the current rate before you go. Not field-verified. | Fee 2026-08-23: $34 per night, single site -- and this pin is in the wrong place, which matters more than the price. Plumas' Chilcoot page and the Forest Service recreation-sites database both put Chilcoot at 39.8674,-120.1684; our coordinate is 2.83 mi away from both of them and lands 0.043 mi from COTTONWOOD SPRINGS CAMPGROUND, a different Plumas campground. We already publish the real Chilcoot separately. The rate is safe either way: Plumas posts $34 per night peak season (May 23 - Sept 6) and $30 non-peak (Sept 7 - Sept 28) with $5 per extra vehicle at Chilcoot, and recreation.gov listing 232826 posts $34; the Cottonwood Springs page our pin actually sits on posts $34 per night for a single site too (plus group sites at $100 for up to 25 people and $140 for up to 50).
