How it was placed
Developed FEE campground (not free) - review | auto:usfs-fee 2026-08-20: US Forest Service developed campground, agency coordinates, agency states a fee. No dollar amount in the agency record -- expect a charge and confirm the current rate before you go. Not field-verified. | Fee 2026-08-22: this is a GROUP campground with no single-site rate at all, and the agency publishes three different group prices -- budget $38. The forest page contradicts itself: its structured fee box says Group Site $32 per night while the prose immediately below says Group Campsite $38 per group per night. recreation.gov's 2026 peak season (Apr 30 to Sep 6) charges a third figure, $35. Extra vehicles beyond two are $10 each per night, and the forest states that no passes are honored here. Quoting any of these as a nightly price for one tent would be wrong -- the whole site is rented as one unit. Our record calls this Hard Rock; the forest page is titled Hard Rock Group Campground.
