Ask an AI about this campsiteOpens Grok already loaded with this site. It reads the same records this page is built from, and links whatever it tells you.
Ask about this camp →U.S. Forest Service lists this as a developed campground. Expect marked sites, a fee station or a reservation, and the usual campground rules. The dispersed-camping freedom of the surrounding forest does not apply inside it. What changes is conditions — roads, gates, closures, fire rules. Check those with the unit before you commit to the drive.

Confidence
Likely — The record is good enough to put a pin on, but thin in places. Treat the details as a starting point, not gospel.
How it was placed
Developed FEE campground (not free) - review | auto:usfs-fee 2026-08-20: US Forest Service developed campground, agency coordinates, agency states a fee. No dollar amount in the agency record -- expect a charge and confirm the current rate before you go. Not field-verified. | Fee 2026-08-22: this is the GROUP site inside Lucerne Campground, so there is no separate single-camper rate for it: $239 per night for up to 80 people, for the current 2026-05-01 to 2026-09-19 peak season. (For reference, an ordinary site in the same campground is $33 non-electric or $45 with electric hookups.) recreation.gov describes the layout as "One group site (site B) in the G Loop". The camp is on the shore of Flaming Gorge Reservoir, and the forest's own Lucerne page adds that "Recreation Fee passes are required for Forest Service Boat Launch areas". This camp is inside the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area, which charges its own Recreational Use Pass on top of the campsite fee -- $5 day / $15 week / $35 annual, and the forest states these are NOT sold online, only at its offices and local vendors (https://www.fs.usda.gov/r04/ashley/recreation/flaming-gorge-national-recreation-area-0, last updated March 27, 2025). Sources: https://www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/231907 (rate schedule, current season) , https://www.fs.usda.gov/r04/ashley/recreation/lucerne-campground (Ashley NF; the campground page, whose printed coordinates are 0.44 mi from our pin, publishes no amount and points to recreation.gov; last updated March 31, 2025) and the Forest Service's own recreation-site record, https://apps.fs.usda.gov/arcx/rest/services/EDW/EDW_RecInfraRecreationSites_02/MapServer/0/query?where=objectid%3D2545816&outFields=site_name,fee_description&f=json , which states "Group Site: $239 per night (up to 80 people)".

What we don’t know about Lucerne Group Campground
A land record can put you within a few meters of a spot. It cannot tell you any of this — so check it yourself, and treat anything below as the open question it is.
- Road surface & last-mile access
- How many rigs actually fit
- Cell coverage by carrier
- Seasonal & winter access
- Current fire restrictions
- Whether any water here is drinkable
- Shade & wind exposure
- Noise and who else shows up
- Whether a listed EV charger works today, or the road miles to it
