How it was placed
Developed FEE campground (not free) - review | auto:usfs-fee 2026-08-20: US Forest Service developed campground, agency coordinates, agency states a fee. No dollar amount in the agency record -- expect a charge and confirm the current rate before you go. Not field-verified. | Fee 2026-08-26: $17 per night for a standard non-electric site; the group site is $60 per night plus $40 additional per weekend. recreation.gov agrees on both, publishing $17 standard and $60 group for the 2026 season (May 22 - Sep 6). Two things worth knowing. The Caribou-Targhee files this camp under its GROUP name -- Reunion Flat Group Campground -- and the bare name 404s, though the campground takes standard single sites too. And the forest states a real off-season condition: the season runs late May to early September, and "After Season: Open, first-come/first-served; no fee, no toilets, no water." That is an unserviced shoulder season, not a free campground, so we still publish it as a fee site.
