Confidence

How it was placed
FREE primitive campsite in Great Basin National Park, upper Snake Creek Road. CONFIDENCE CAVEAT -- READ THIS: coordinate and name are NPS's own POI record (POITYPE='Campsite', UNITCODE='GRBA', mapservices.nps.gov, read 2026-08-17), but NPS's primitive-campgrounds page does not name the Shoshone sites individually. Free-of-charge rests on the park's blanket statements: "Primitive campsites at Great Basin National Park are free but do not have water" and "These sites are all first-come, first-served and are free of charge." Confirm with the park before shipping. ROAD: high-clearance recommended, RVs and trailers never recommended. STAY LIMIT: "The maximum continuous stay limit at any campsite is 14 days" (nps.gov/grba/planyourvisit/primitive-campgrounds.htm and nps.gov/grba/planyourvisit/backcountry-camping.htm, read 2026-08-17). SEASONAL: the park says "Some campgrounds are closed seasonally due to weather" -- check nps.gov/grba current conditions before driving. NEAREST TOWN: Baker, NV. SOURCE: https://www.nps.gov/grba/planyourvisit/primitive-campgrounds.htm | auto:agency-trust 2026-08-18: state agency GIS record with a source URL and coordinates, confidence not low. Fee value is the agency's own, not field-checked. Not field-verified -- confirm access, road conditions and fire rules before you go.
