Ask an AI about this campsiteOpens Grok already loaded with this site. It reads the same records this page is built from, and links whatever it tells you.
Ask about this camp →U.S. Forest Service lists this as a developed campground. Expect marked sites, a fee station or a reservation, and the usual campground rules. The dispersed-camping freedom of the surrounding forest does not apply inside it. What changes is conditions — roads, gates, closures, fire rules. Check those with the unit before you commit to the drive.

Confidence
Likely — The record is good enough to put a pin on, but thin in places. Treat the details as a starting point, not gospel.
How it was placed
Developed FEE campground (not free) - review | auto:usfs-fee 2026-08-20: US Forest Service developed campground, agency coordinates, agency states a fee. No dollar amount in the agency record -- expect a charge and confirm the current rate before you go. Not field-verified. | Fee 2026-08-24: $35 per night, single site, in peak season, with $27 charged in the short first-come-first-served shoulder weeks; $10 per night for each additional vehicle. Budget $35. Two caveats a reader should have: recreation.gov listing 232238, whose own coordinate sits 0.04 mi from this pin, has published no rate block later than the 2025 season (25 Apr - 25 Oct 2025), so the peak figure is a year old; and Inyo's McGee Creek page states a flat $27 while printing a coordinate 34 mi from this camp, so it is not a reliable tie-breaker. The Forest Service's EDW record gives $35 plus $10 per additional vehicle. What we don’t know about Mcgee Creek Cg
A land record can put you within a few meters of a spot. It cannot tell you any of this — so check it yourself, and treat anything below as the open question it is.

- Seasonal & winter access
- Current fire restrictions
- Whether any water here is drinkable
